Reduced Fee & Lower Cost Psychotherapy
I currently have a small number of spaces available for lower cost / reduced fee psychotherapy for people wishing to undertake therapy for the full duration of 2026. The arrangement will be reviewed after a year and may be available for 2027 also.
These places are offered as part of my advanced psychotherapy training with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP), and are intended to make long-term psychotherapy more accessible to people who would otherwise be unable to attend weekly.
This may be a good fit for you if you are:
A student or on a lower income
Eligible for, or exploring, the Work and Income (WINZ) counselling subsidy (~$80 per session available, for <26 sessions initially)
In a period of financial constraint, transition, or instability (for example study, retraining, or career change)
Able to commit to weekly (or twice-weekly) therapy over a longer period
Fees:
My standard fee is $170 per session.
Reduced fee places are offered in the range of $100–$150 per session*, negotiated according to circumstances, availability and funding.
If you are using the WINZ counselling subsidy, I usually recommend that you contribute an additional $30–$50 per session if possible. This helps support a sense of personal commitment and investment in the process, which is often important for the depth of the work. This isn’t a requirement, but a guideline we can discuss together.
Important:
As these spaces are training cases, all sessions are audio-recorded for supervision purposes. Recordings are confidential, securely stored, and used only within professional training and supervision. You will need to be comfortable with this in order to apply.
