On Intimacy

On Intimacy: A love poem to life

I long to be close to you
so close I can feel
the circularity of time
and everything here
between us

I long to make love with you
and forget about
making anything happen

But sometimes I forget

I reach outside to taste that sweet honey
be touched by that sweet smile
kissed by those tender lips

And I miss you.

Sometimes I forget
you are always here
patiently calling me forth
with arms wide open

And all I have to do is Surrender

to the sweetness of your desire
let you consume me
from the inside out
quietly ravish me
til everything untrue falls away
til there is no separation
and no love
to be made

For love is all that remains
